SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Since its inception, CAPT focus was students’ social emotional learning and well being. Students from low income communities, in particular, have little access to high quality SEL programs. Primarily focused on the SEL components of self-management, social awareness and relationship skills, CAPT programming targets K-8th grade children specifically.

YOUTH PROGRAMS
CAPT operates community wide youth programs that enriches students life experiences and provides hope to a brighter future within or outside of their home community. Youth programs
support students primarily in 3-12 grade in the areas of sports, outdoor experiences and college prep/readiness.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
CAPT was founded on the belief that the community of Bridgeport children and families are a gold mine of potential.
When provided the proper targeted support, they will grow and flourish. CAPT community outreach serves to meet
children and families basic needs such as food and clothing, while also building community pride.

• 250 families connected to social services
